How It Works
The No Crow Rooster Collar is not a shock collar. Instead, it uses a simple and safe design:
Mesh & Velcro Construction: Soft, flexible, and fully adjustable to fit comfortably around your rooster’s neck.

Measure around the base of the neck (under feathers, close to skin) and allow 3.5–5 cm overlap for Velcro closure. When in doubt, size up.

Here’s how to help your rooster adjust: Start Loose: On the first day, fit the collar loosely to let him get used to the new sensation. Gradual Tightening: Each day, adjust slightly tighter until you find the most effective fit. The collar should sit snug—like a belt—without causing distress. Monitor Closely: Always watch your rooster after adjustments. Look for normal breathing and movement before leaving him unattended. Pinky Rule: You should always be able to slip the tip of your pinky finger under the collar.
What to Expect + Training Tips
Not Guaranteed to Stop Crows Completely: Each rooster is different. The collar is intended to reduce volume and frequency, not eliminate crowing.
Occasional Adjustments: Like a belt, it may need to be tightened or loosened slightly over time to maintain the best fit.
No Irritation: The collar is worn over feathers with the soft side against the skin. While feathers may loosen during the day, roosters tested have shown no signs of neck irritation.
Many roosters initially react with a “backwards gallop” when first fitted. A gentle introduction can ease this: Place your rooster in a safe, contained space (like a bin or box with shavings for footing). Fit the collar loosely, then hold him calmly in the centre. If he runs to a corner, gently guide him back and reassure him with your hands and voice. Offer favourite treats once he begins to relax. With consistency, your rooster will quickly learn the collar is safe and natural. This process helps reduce stress and builds trust—making the transition smoother.
